Braden Peters, known online as Clavicular, walked into Orleans District Court on October 22 wearing an all-black suit and leading a dog on a leash. He said nothing to reporters. The dog barked at them. A court clerk confirmed the animal was brought as an emotional support device. Peters pleaded not guilty to one count of rape, one count of drugging someone for sexual intercourse, and one count of procuring alcohol for a minor.

The Massachusetts criminal complaint stems from an alleged incident on May 23, 2025, at Peters' family home in Chatham, on Cape Cod. The complainant was 17 years old at the time. She reported the incident to Chatham police in June 2026, more than a year after the alleged assault.

She told officers she had been invited to the house for a Twitch livestream. She alleges Peters instructed her to tell viewers she was 18. According to the complaint, he gave her vodka and told the stream it was water. She says she woke to find him having sex with her without consent. His mother and grandmother were allegedly in the house.

Who Clavicular Is

Peters built his following around "looksmaxxing": a philosophy of extreme physical optimization that includes facial restructuring exercises, injectable fat-dissolving treatments, and steroid protocols. By 2026 he had over one million followers across Kick, TikTok, and Instagram, earning a reported $100,000 or more per month from Kick livestreams as of February. He sold a $50-per-month course called the "Clavicular System" and has been sponsored by Duel, an online casino. YouTube terminated his original channel in November 2025.

Four months before this arraignment, he opened a Paris menswear show at Fashion Week. In February he walked New York Fashion Week. The crossover from internet subculture to the fashion industry was complete, or appeared to be.

The Motion to Dismiss Filed the Same Day as the Plea

Peters' attorneys filed a motion to dismiss on Thursday, arguing that Chatham police did not present sufficient evidence to support the charges. The defense memo describes a relationship in which the complainant publicly called Peters "so nice" and maintained contact with him after the alleged incident. It includes a letter the defense says was written by her expressing loyalty to him. The memo also alleges her brand deals declined as his grew and argues the civil and criminal complaints followed.

His attorney said the allegations "remain unproven" and that Peters "intends to vigorously defend himself." The complainant's attorney said the sexual assault claims were removed from the civil lawsuit specifically to avoid interfering with the criminal case.

A Bail Amount the Defense Called "Fair and Reasonable"

A judge set bail at $10,000, the amount the defense requested. Peters paid in cash. The court ordered him to stay away from the complainant, to stop posting about her on social media, and to surrender his passport. Judge John Julian warned that bail would be revoked on any new arrest. The court also scheduled a probable cause hearing for November 24.

The looksmaxxing community Clavicular built runs on a premise: your body is a project and documentation is proof. The Twitch format described in the complaint put both of those ideas to work at the same time. The allegation is that the content infrastructure, the livestream, the audience, the access it provided, is what made the alleged assault possible. Peters has had prior legal run-ins: a no-contest plea on an alligator shooting charge in Florida, a Scottsdale misdemeanor case that was dropped, and a hospitalization in April 2026 after what his representative called a suspected overdose.

These are allegations. Peters has not been convicted of anything. Ad Watch News is an independent commentary site with no affiliation with Peters, his team, or the complainant.
